Business Development Manager

We are searching for talented and enthusiastic individuals to drive the growth of our business as a brand activation agency. We work with clients to bring brands to life through creative concepts, events, corporate engagements, content production, digital experiences, and on-ground activations.

You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and proposing creative solutions that help clients engage their audiences in meaningful and memorable ways. The ideal candidate is proactive, confident in communication, and enjoys meeting people, pitching ideas, and challenging the status quo.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and researching new business opportunities in new and existing markets.
  • Leading, managing, guiding, and training the Business Development team to achieve sales targets and business growth objectives.
  • Providing support, direction, and coaching to the Business Development team in client servicing, proposal preparation, pitching, follow-ups, and closing opportunities.
  • Monitoring the team’s sales pipeline, client follow-ups, proposal progress, and overall performance to ensure opportunities are managed effectively.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with potential and existing clients.
  • Communicating with clients to understand their needs and offer customised solutions to their business challenges.
  • Attracting new clients by developing and proposing creative brand activation, event, digital experience, and production solutions.
  • Preparing and delivering presentations, proposals, and insightful pitches to potential clients.
  • Preparing tailored quotations and cost estimates based on client requirements.
  • Following up with current and future clients to offer suitable business solutions.
  • Coordinating with internal teams to ensure client requirements are clearly communicated.
  • Assisting in the procurement process and registering the company as a vendor when required.
  • Collecting and analysing market trends, industry updates, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Working closely with superiors in handling business development matters and other related duties assigned from time to time.
  • Assisting in completing ad-hoc tasks and projects.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Mass Communication, or any related field.
  • Experience in sales, marketing, business development, client servicing, or any related industry.
  • Experience in an agency, digital marketing, events, media, advertising, or production environment will be an added advantage.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients, enquiries, and deadlines at the same time.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Independent, proactive, resourceful, and target-driven.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Good understanding of market research and analysis techniques.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Must possess own car and be willing to travel for client meetings, pitches, events, and other work-related appointments.
